Garage Lintel Replacement

Failure of the lintels is a very common problem in today’s homes. Most of the ones I see today fail due to companies using a cheaper and weaker angle iron over the openings. This allows the bricks to sag and cracks start to form in the brick and mortar joints. This is where we come in. We replace the angle iron with a more heavy duty angle iron bolted into the header for extra strength. In some cases, we are able to raise the sagging brick wall to it’s original height.

    The sagging lintel above the garage door created a vertical line of cracked bricks and mortar joints from the window to the garage door.

  • Tear out

    Removed sagging angle iron and supported the brick. We also were able to raise the brick wall to original height.

  • After

    We added a stronger angle iron bolted into the header for more support. Relayed the brick and repaired the cracked brick and mortar joints above the door.
